Gareth Jones and the Holodomor

On the weekend that Ukrainians remember the Holodomor, the genocidal Soviet-made famine of 1932–33, it’s good to see that Gareth Jones, the brave young Welsh journalist who was one of the few Western journalists (Malcolm Muggeridge was another) to tell the truth about what was going on, is finally getting the recognition he deserves. His diaries (which I have been lucky enough to see) are now going on display at Cambridge, his old university, and a new documentary has been made that makes extensive use of Jones’s materials. At last.
