The Smack of Crisp Government

The UK’s  economy may be slowing, border control is in a shambles, crime is rising, and the tax take is at the highest level since who knows when, but Britain’s governing classes know what really matters:

“Advertisements for chocolate bars, crisps and fizzy drinks should be treated like sex, swearing and graphic violence and banned from television before 9pm, the Government’s food watchdog says. The Food Standards Agency is expected to press today for a pre-watershed ban on all junk food commercials to improve children’s health.”

For the children, of course.
