Here’s an interesting piece by Chares Bremner of the London Times on a series of violent incidents in France. As Bremner explains, they “are not particularly related but, magnified by the media, they are anxiogène, to use a useful French word — they breed anxiety. They are also cause for political discomfort.” Indeed they are.
