216 Reasons to Support NR

Please scroll through NR’s 216 articles on the attack on Brett Kavanaugh, and consider what this coverage was worth to you.

I have 216 reasons for you to support NR.

They are all the articles, editorials, and blog posts we wrote after the Christine Blasey Ford accusation against Brett Kavanaugh broke, pushing back against the madness that gripped the Democrats and the media.

When the allegation first emerged, we called it “An Eleventh-Hour Ambush”; when The New Yorker entered the fray with its shoddy report about an alleged incident at Yale, we urged Republicans to “Fight for Kavanaugh”; when Jeff Flake forced a delay in the vote, we inveighed against his “Terrible Idea”; when Susan Collins made her excellent speech, we wrote, “Thank You, Susan Collins”; and when the whole sordid affair ended, with Kavanaugh finally on the Court where he belonged, we wrote, “Justice Prevailed.”

And those were just the editorials. We wrote about every detail of the case and the big picture. We wrote about it late at night and early in the morning, on weekends and weekdays, when anything of significance happened. We threw everything we had at it, including our big legal guns, Andy McCarthy and David French.

We were, of course, delighted to do it, although dismayed by the circumstances. This is what we exist to do, and why we care about our standards and credibility so much — because there is no substitute for them when something important is on the line.

Unfortunately, serious magazines of opinion like ours don’t make money, so we need your help to be able to jump on stories like this with difference-making journalism.

So please scroll through below all the reasons you should support NR — here’s our donate page — and consider what this coverage was worth to you.

Maybe it was nothing, but, if you are a conservative and felt the same outrage and alarm as the rest of us at what happened to Brett Kavanugh, I doubt that. Maybe it’s a penny per article, which works out to $2.16 — that’s fine, we’d be grateful to have it. Maybe it’s a dime per article, or $21.60. Maybe it’s a dollar per article, or $216.00. Maybe it’s $10 per article, and you want to weigh in in a big way — $2,160.00 — to help us reach and surpass our goal of $200,000 (which is far less than we really need).

Whatever it is, I’m guessing it’s something.

So here they are: 216 reasons you should support NR, 216 reasons we have been working at full throttle the last couple of weeks, 216 reasons why NR’s voice is so important, 216 reasons I’ve never been prouder to work here.
